It is important to recover properly after running. While running, your body burns carbohydrates and needs to replenish them. It is also important to replenish proteins to help your muscles recover. You can do this by eating foods that are rich in proteins and carbohydrates. These include fish, meat, legumes and dairy products. Want to get the most out of your performance? Then check out our tips and supplement your diet with Amacx sports nutrition.

Tip 1. Hydrate after running

Because you lose a lot of fluid while running, it is important to drink enough water after running as well. Drinking enough fluids can help prevent muscle cramps. When you drink enough, the blood in your body becomes darker. This means your heart does not have to pump as hard, so you tire less quickly.

  • With Hydro Tabs you can replenish not only fluids, but also minerals and salts. Dissolve 1 tablet in 500 ml or 750 ml of water.

Tip 2. Support your muscle recovery with proteins

Protein is essential for proper muscle recovery. You can get protein from low-fat quark, chicken, tofu or nuts. You can also supplement it with sports nutrition.

  • The Recovery Bar contains 20 grams of protein per bar and 22 grams of carbohydrates. A tasty and healthy snack that contributes to muscle recovery and replenishes glycogen stores.
  • Or choose the Recovery Shake to recover your muscles and replenish your carbohydrates after a long endurance training session. The recovery shake contains 20 grams of protein and 30 grams of carbohydrates. Take this shake immediately after exercise.
  • Immediately after running, you can also take a Protein Delux. This protein shake contains no less than 20 grams of protein per serving (25 grams). Take this shake within 45 minutes of running, as your muscles will then be best able to absorb the nutrients.
