A good recovery is just as important as good training. Have you ridden an intensive course? Then small tears can occur in your muscles. Thanks to the proteins in your body, these tears can repair themselves and you build up muscle mass. It is therefore important to replenish your carbohydrate and protein reserves. You can do this by eating protein-rich foods such as fish, meat, legumes or dairy products and drinking enough water. Want to get the most out of your performance? Then check out our tips and supplement your diet with Amacx sports nutrition.

Tip 1. Drink enough water after mountain biking

Continue to hydrate after mountain biking to replenish your deficiencies. Do you still have water bottles that are not empty? Force yourself to drink them all before you get home.

After exercising, you can take a Hydro Tab to replenish essential minerals, salts and vitamin C. Dissolve this tablet in 500 or 750 ml of water.

Tip 2. Support your recovery by eating protein

After training, replenish your carbohydrate and protein reserves as quickly as possible. For optimal results, do this within 30 minutes after your ride, because that is when your body is best able to absorb nutrients.

  • The proteins and carbohydrates in the Recovery Bar support muscle recovery and contribute to the growth of muscle mass. You can eat this snack directly on the go after mountain biking.
  • Replenish your reserves with the essential proteins, carbohydrates and minerals from the Recovery Shake. You should drink this within 30 minutes
  • You can also drink a Protein shake immediately after exercise or before going to sleep. This shake contains 20 grams of protein per serving (25 grams). This shake does not contain carbohydrates, so make sure you get these from other foods.
