Amacx Vitamin D3

Amacx Vitamin D3 supports bones and the immune system. Vitamin D, primarily obtained through sunlight exposure (unless covered with sunscreen), is absorbed by the skin. Vitamin D3, in the most effective form of cholecalciferol, is also beneficial for muscles, making this supplement suitable for athletes.

The dosage of Vitamin D3 is very convenient with the included dropper. Additionally, the drops are tasteless, allowing you to add them to any beverage or a bowl of yogurt or oatmeal.

Recommended dosage: Take 1 to 3 drops (1,000 to 3,000 IU) per day, at least during the period October through April and also in the remaining months if there is insufficient exposure to sunlight or when a blood test shows that.

Take the drops preferably with a meal. Always shake well before use. Maximum of 3 drops per day.

Vitamin D3 has a number of important effects in the body. For example, vitamin D3 helps keep teeth strong, contributes to normal muscle function and supports the body's immune system. In addition, vitamin D helps ensure that calcium is properly absorbed from food, which increases calcium absorption in the bones. Vitamin D3 also supports the body's defences and contributes to a good immune system, which is of course very important for intensive sports.

Vitamin D3 is naturally found in dairy products and oily fish, but only in very limited quantities. The body can also produce vitamin D3 itself under the influence of sunlight. However, this depends on the strength of the sun (UV), and therefore on the season, geographical location, altitude and the time of day when someone is outside. In addition, having a dark skin colour and using sunscreen can seriously reduce the body's own production of vitamin D.

For the above reasons, we can only produce vitamin D3 in the Netherlands between May and September under the influence of sunlight, provided we spend between 15 and 30 minutes unprotected (hands, face, arms) in the sun during the day.
